LAURY VANESSA METAYER
I am a proud military wife, devoted mother, entrepreneur, and lifelong community advocate committed to serving the people with integrity, compassion, and purpose. Coming from a family rooted in civic engagement and community service, I believe my family’s legacy of giving back and uplifting others should continue through meaningful civic work and strong public leadership.
As a former military wife, I traveled and lived in diverse communities across the country. These experiences gave me firsthand insight into the challenges families face and the importance of responsive leadership, safe neighborhoods, and accessible resources. They also strengthened my understanding of how successful communities are built through accountability, innovation, and people-centered solutions.
Throughout my years of advocacy and service, I have worked to support families, encourage small businesses, mentor youth, and stand alongside residents whose voices are too often unheard. I believe North Miami deserves leadership that not only listens, but delivers practical results.

Laury Vanessa Metayer’s campaign is built on the power of grassroots leadership people coming together block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood, to create meaningful change in North Miami. This campaign is not driven by politics as usual; it is driven by residents, working families, small business owners, seniors, young voters, faith leaders, and community members who believe their voices matter.
As a proud military wife, mother, entrepreneur, and community advocate, Laury understands that real leadership begins with listening to the people. Her campaign focuses on direct community engagement through neighborhood walks, voter outreach, town halls, community events, youth engagement, and relationship-building across District 2.
A strong grassroots movement benefits the race because it creates genuine trust and authentic connections with voters. Residents are more likely to support a candidate they know personally, someone who is visible in the community and understands their daily concerns.
